The Luxomatics play a special brand of early blues, rock and roll, boogie woogie and beatnik jazz.
Together for over two years, their style is nuanced and assertive, avoiding the generic bar-band sound. The musicianship it top-notch - you’ll hear some raging jams and shining and gritty vocals. They make the cover songs their own with arrangements that often turn the original versions inside-out as well as delivering original songs that already sound like old rock and roll classics.
The band is led by 90's neo-swing icon, Sandy Clifford (Atomic Cocktail) on vox and blues harp, with Pam Brandon (The Chazz Cats, Belle Monroe and Her Brewglass Boys, 77 El Deora) on bass and some lead vocals, Danny Eisenberg (Mother Hips, Counting Crows, Ryan Adams) on piano, Justin Berthiaume (Epique, Chicken Slacks) on drums and Todd Swenson (Big Bang Beat, The Soul Delights, Los Trainwreck) on guitar.
